Safety
Your safety is very important to us.
If you do not have a suitable horse riding helmet, we will lend you one. We primarily provide Charles Owen helmets which adhere to the minimum following international standards ASTM F1163-15, PAS015:2011, VG1 01-040 2014-12. Charles Own helmets are internationally recognized and used by Olympic riders.
Our helmets are cleaned in between use and the liners are regularly washed. Helmets are also destroyed if they are subject to impact or when they reach the “destroy date” which is 5 years after purchase. All of our helmets were purchased in 2024.
For regular riders who would like to buy their own helmet, we keep a small selection in stock of Charles Owen helmets for purchase. Please ask us for details. As with all services/sales, the profit helps rescue animals.
For children, we have optional body protectors so you can be reassured that your child has the extra protection they need.
Riding boots are available to use which are cleaned between use.
Fluorescent tabards are used on evening and early morning rides.
We use safety stirrups on all saddles.
All saddles also have a grab strap to give you a little extra reassurance!
Finally our team are all experienced riders and first aid certified.
